This year’s conference revolves around the theme “Transforming Economies: Energy Transition, Geopolitics in International Finance, and Sustainable Growth in the MENA Region”, focusing on critical issues such as the global energy transition, financial markets, and sustainable growth. One of the key topics that must also be addressed within this scope is the impact of economic transformation processes on gender dynamics.

This special session aims to bring together academics, civil society organizations, and private sector representatives to evaluate economic policies from a gender perspective, discuss mechanisms that promote female employment and entrepreneurship, and share best practices from the field. The format of the session will be shaped based on participants' suggestions and session chair's guidance and may take the form of a panel, workshop, or roundtable discussion.
